Volunteer

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

It is no secret that churches need volunteers to make an impact on their communities. St Francis needs volunteers for all sorts of things. We need Sunday School teachers, ushers, singers, and people to help with service opportunities throughout the year. Part of our commitment to service is a commitment to protect the people that we serve. This means that anyone who would like to volunteer to work with children or vulnerable adults needs to fill out a volunteer application and complete an online training through CMGConnect.

Serve in our church

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

For those who would like to serve in ministries involving children or vulnerable adults, please complete the application and mail it to 147 Bryan St  Pikeville, KY 41501. After that, you will need to complete the online training through CMGConnect.

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

For ministries that do not involve children or vulnerable adults, you can talk to the priest before or after Mass. You can also call the office at 606-437-6117, and we can help you get started.

How do I volunteer with kids?

To help with Sunday School or Religious Education, please contact Sr Amy Westbrook at awestbrook@cdlex.org. Volunteers in these ministries will need to fill out an application (see above) and complete the CMGConnect online training before beginning to serve.

How do I volunteer with music?

If you have a heart for music, please share your gifts with the church! The best way to get involved with music is to talk to our musicians before or after Mass. Please let them know which Mass you plan on attending, and how often you'd like to help out.

How do I volunteer with RCIA and Bible Studies?

As it stands right now, Fr Rob is the only person doing adult religious education- he could certainly use your help! If you would like to help out, please contact Fr Rob at radams@cdlex.org.
